FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BOSTON June 1, 2006 -- "What is there to do?" Since the end of last year, ZebraTickets has made the answer simple as black and white. Developed by three Brandeis grads, ZebraTickets is a free online service that helps event planners promote their events and event seekers find something to do. Originally developed to serve the needs of Bostonians, today the successful service announced plans for national expansion.
Co-founder Dmitri Krasik believes "Boston should be the most exciting place to be a student socially as well as academically. The only reason various groups of interest and ethnicity do not have more to do, is a lack of information."
The vision of ZebraTickets is to make that information easily broadcast by event planners and readily accessible by event seekers. A quick review of the web site, www.zebratickets.com, shows that the vision of co-founders Krasik, Matt Frischer, and Daniel Greisokh, is crystal clear at both ends of the spectrum.
Since its December, 2005 launch, ZebraTickets has received an overwhelming response from both Boston area event planners and their patrons. Co-founder, Daniel Greisokh sums up the reason in one easy sentence, "ZebraTickets is an intelligent, single-stop event portal."
ZebraTickets features make both event finding and posting easy. As one Cambridge event organizer put it, "Your service is spectacular. I love the way your web site is set up. It is so easy to list, edit, and track listings. I also like the fact that you are open to new suggestions from your users."
Planners have access to a platform of very innovative tools to promote their events. In addition to posting the details of event, ZebraTickets gives planners several excellent viral marketing options and includes an auto-post feature to promote the event at other online resources. Moreover, event planners also receive weekly reports that tell them how well their promotional efforts are working.
Event seekers find upcoming activities by category, keyword, or location. In addition to online search, seekers can receive news of pending events via email. Users can also purchase and then print event tickets from the ZebraTickets web site.
Services at ZebraTickets are completely free to both event planners and their patrons. No memberships are required. The site is supported solely by advertising and sales of Zebra gear.
ZebraTickets has changed the way people organize, publicize, and find events in Boston. As co-founder Matt Frischer says, "Our next challenge is to build bridges in other cities and to create tunnels between them. "
